This workshop creates a welcoming space to connect with sound and explore how music can serve as a restorative tool for relaxation, creativity, and holistic wellness. Through introduction to fine crafted world instruments and rhythm activities, we will engage in creative music-making and discover personal connections to melody, rhythm, and sound.

Transforming Trauma Through Music Making and Sound
Music and sound hold the power for transforming trauma to reach places words cannot. This interactive presentation introduces participants to the principles of trauma informed care, alongside powerful music-based activities that help promote safety, emotional regulation, connection and creativity. Attendees will leave with a toolkit of evidence-based, adaptable strategies and creative expression techniques that help support states of health, well-being and empowerment for working with people across the lifespan. 1.5 CEU
